Charles A. Bruni

MANAGING PRINCIPAL

With 30 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, consulting, and real estate finance with firms such as Bain & Co., LaSalle Partners, and Jones Lang LaSalle, Chuck utilizes his experience to identify sector opportunities in real estate positioned to outperform the market in terms of risk-adjusted returns.  He further structures the individual investments for reduced risk resulting in a track record of never having lost investor dollars and never having experienced a capital call.

As Manager of LaSalle Partners and then Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets Group, Chuck structured some of the industry’s most complicated tax-oriented transactions while completing over $2.5 billion of third-party equity and debt raises for his clients. He also led the $200 million recapitalizations of Library Tower in Los Angeles, successfully placing the first single-asset securitization on the West Coast.

As Co-Founder of ArroyoBel’s predecessor, Arroyo Realty Partners Chuck developed a strategy to institutionalize four of Arroyo’s Hawaii-based assets by packaging them into a single portfolio which proved successful when the $65mm portfolio sold to a Wall Street investment firm for $100mm, securing client returns on individual assets ranging from 45% to over 200%.

Chuck is a graduate of Occidental College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and holds an MBA with Honors from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
